The Downtown Denver Partnership put out a call-for-entries for their Meet in the Street prototyping series — it’s a celebration of the 16th Street Mall as a shared outdoor area. They asked the community to engage in exploring ways participatory art, design and technology could build stronger connections between people, creating a greater sense of place and a way to experiment with new ideas in our public spaces. My concept was one of a select few chosen.

“ZENver is an ever-changing landscape in the heart of Downtown. Each participant can tell their own story through lines in the sand.”

“Inspired by Japanese Zen gardens, this modern update reconnects people with nature — helping reduce stress and boosting their wellbeing.”
